Children's Book Donation

When you purchase this option, you’re planting a seed of knowledge and joy in a young reader’s life. Each donation ensures that a carefully selected children’s book — written by a Black author — will be gifted on your behalf to a child in our community.

Your purchase directly supports Literature & Libations’ mission to create space for stories, culture, and connection, while amplifying Black voices in literature. We believe that every child deserves to see themselves reflected in the books they read, and your donation helps make that possible.

✨ How it works:

1. You purchase this donation option.

2. Literature & Libations will select a children’s book by a Black author.

3. That book will be given to a child at a community event.

Our first book donations will take place at the Fill The Good Will Truck Community Event, hosted by the Portsmouth Health Department and the Portsmouth Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., on September 27, 2025.
